Dr. Avinash Mahendale, explained the iternary that was followed during the Danta Sapthaha. 25 Complete Dentures and 15 Removable Partial Dentures were delivered to the Beneficiaries. Half a day CDE programme on interactive session with lecture followed by hands on workshop on application of CBCT and it's integration in inter disciplinary dentistry was conducted by department of periodontics and implantology in association with Gyan CDE Cell on 23rd January 2023 at A.J.Institute of Dental Sciences from 9:30 am to 2pm for the benefit of faculty ,post graduate students and interns .The speaker for the day was Dr. Sham Kishor, MDS PHD, Consultant oral and maxillofacial radiologist, Mangalore.

Dr. Nandini Manjunath, welcomed the delegates and spoke about the importance of understanding and learning about the details of CBCT and it's integration in inter disciplinary dentistry in ensuring the long term success of dental treatment.

The workshop was very innovative and educative. Dr. Sham Kishor spoke on case-based applications of CBCT followed by hands on learning through software. The participants were given the case details and taught to read the CBCT. It was interactive session attended by enthusiastic participants both faculty and students. There was a positive feedback from the participants. We thank the Management, Principal and faculty for their support for making this programmed agrand success.

Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that helps in maintaining physical and mental well-being. The theme for International Yoga Day 2022is “YOGA FOR HUMANITY.
International yoga day was observed by the NSS unit and Gyan cell, A. J Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore in association with Department of Human consciousness and Yogic Sciences, Mangalore University. Ayoga Session was held by Dr. ThirumaleshwaraPrasada H for all the student volunteers and staff of the institute. DR. K Nillan Shetty, Principal, AJIDS addressed the participants and shared the importance of celebrating this day. A few warm up exercises followed by few yoga poses were demonstrated and performed by the participants. He also taught the different breathing technique.The session was well received by all and greatly appreciated.
