DEPARTMENT OF PROSTHODONTICS AND CROWN BRIDGE

The Department of Prosthodontics is involved with the replacement of missing teeth and oral and maxillofacial regions to fulfill a patient's needs of restoring esthetics, function and overall oral health. The Department is involved in both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) teaching. The UG teaching involves students from First year to Final year and a two month internship programme in the department. The PG course is a three year Master of Dental Surgery programme in accordance with fulfilling the requirements of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Based on varied patient prosthodontic needs, the Department is divided into preclinical, removable, fixed, maxillofacial prosthodontics and implantology sections with separate facilities for undergraduates and postgraduates.
